We are a team of content writers and project managers fluent in both traditional and new media business communications. Over 23 years ago, we began a business called “Newsletters, Etc.,” a print-only communications firm. Then the Internet came along. A friend asked us to develop a page for what was then known as the “World Wide Web.”
“Can you do it?” she asked.
“Yes. Of course we can.”
At the time, we didn’t have a dial-up account nor had we ever been online. No matter. We quickly pulled a team together and created a website on water conservation. In 1999, “Watershare” won a Dotty award for Best Government website. We share this story with you to demonstrate the sort of bootstrap, startup mindset we hold. We get things done.
Newsletters, Etc. eventually turned into “Modcom,” short for Modern Communications. We focus on delivering measurable results for our clients. Over the course of our 23 years in business, our client base ranges from start-ups to growing businesses to Fortune 500 companies and to government agencies—we are diversified and solid.
Fast forward. Today Modcom is located in the heart of the Silicon Valley in Mountain View, one mile from Google headquarters. Our company remains an agile communications firm. We are a team of content writers and project managers fluent in both traditional and new media business communications. While our core service remains writing/editing and project management, we also offer social media strategy, and focus group facilitation.
